Brian Freed
Chief Executive Officer
Brian is an experienced executive who has focused on enterprise software sales, development and implementations and most recently was the co-founder and CEO of Entessa. Prior to founding Entessa, Brian was a Managing Principal Consultant at Excelon/C-bridge Internet Solutions, where he focused on strategic consulting as well as implementing technology solutions for Oil and Gas companies. Mr. Freed joined C-bridge Internet Solution from Perot Systems, where he was a business process consultant helping Fortune 500 companies improve operational efficiencies. Prior to Perot Systems, Mr. Freed proudly served as an artillery officer in the United States Army. Brian graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Todd Pittman
Chief Financial Officer
Todd joins EnergySolutions with over 17 years financial and accounting expertise, with the last 10 years spent working with software or technology companies. Prior to EnergySolutions, Todd was Chief Financial Officer of Epitome Systems, a provider of workflow, document management, and image capturing software. During this time, Todd also served as interim Chief Operating Officer and played a key role in multiple equity raises for this privately held entity. Todd also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sanchez Computer Associates (Nasdaq: SCAI) until the company was acquired by Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF).  Todd is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelors of business administration from Baylor University and a masters of business administration from Duke University.

Rene Varon
Vice President for Global Sales
Rene was promoted to the vice president of global sales for Energy Solutions International at the close of 2009. He joined the company in 1997 as sales manager for Latin America and over 13 years turned ESI products into the Industry Standard in Latin America. In his most recent role as vice president of international business, Rene enjoyed great success as he focused his market development skills on the European market. Rene's accomplishments in serving clients make him a natural choice to lead ESI's worldwide sales organization. Prior to joining ESI, Rene was a key account executive at E.Bustamante & Cia. EBC in Bogota, Colombia. He also served as a research engineer and electronic engineer for Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Ecopetrol, respectively. Rene earned a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Ponticifia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota and an executive master's in business administration from Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, where he was honored as the Most Outstanding Student.

Pradeep Ittycheria
Vice President, Development
Pradeep is an experienced technology professional with extensive experience managing software product development teams in industries such as Life sciences, Insurance and Financial services. In his previous role as Director LIMS Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO) he was responsible for managing the development of their LIMS products worldwide. Prior to that he managed projects across technologies and industries at AppLabs a global IT services company specializing in quality management, testing, and certification solutions. Pradeep has also worked in India with an IT services firm helping establish their Data warehousing practice and securing early business with customers such as Unilever. Pradeep holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Marketing and Information systems.

Julie Hatfield. PMP
Vice President, Global Services
Julie joined Energy Solutions in 2005 and served as Product Manager for Commercial Applications and, later, Director of Operations and Service Delivery in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia before taking her current position. Julie has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Julie worked in the Koch Industries family of companies, managing a variety of enterprise pipeline and energy trading projects and organizations. Julie began her career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in the Energy Business Unit, managing, implementing, and supporting pipeline operational and business applications for a variety of clients. Julie is a Project Management Professional (PMP), holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems Management from St. Mary's University, and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Jonathan Mefferd
General Counsel
Jon joined EnergySolutions in 2004 after serving as Counsel for Aspen Technology, Inc., where he was responsible for drafting and negotiating software license, implementation, alliance, partner, reseller and joint venture agreements for the company's Asia/Pacific and Latin America regions. Mefferd started his legal career as an attorney with the boutique defense firm of Womble & Spain in 1996. In addition, he has served as in-house counsel for a number of software companies prior to joining EnergySolutions, including TransEnergy, a Houston-based energy software developer, Severn Trent Systems, Inc., an electric utility software company and Aspen Technology, Inc. Mefferd received the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. Jon is a licensed attorney under the State Bar of Texas.

Jacquie Ballesteros
Director Global Administration & Human Resources
Jacquie has more than 20 years of experience in human resources management with EnergySolutions and its predecessor companies. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Professional in Human Resources certification from the HRCI.

Juan Seriñá
Vice President of Marketing & Product Management
Juan became Vice President of Marketing and Product Management in April 2010. An employee since 1995, Juan's extensive experience as project manager and technical leader on customer projects uniquely qualifies him for his new role. ESI looks to Juan to put his technical expertise and customer relationships to work in updating and introducing new products, as well as reaching out to new customers. Juan served ESI most recently as Technical Projects Director, coordinating all simulation projects worldwide. He was the development manager for VisualPipeline, the graphical user interface for ESI's market-leading PipelineManager® software, and lead engineer on the implementation of multiple global deployments. Prior to joining ESI, Juan worked for Controles Texas S.A., in Caracas, Venezuela. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and has published articles for the Pipeline Simulation Interest Group and Middle East Pipeline Conference.
